March 20th was the first day of spring and we celebrated by talking about the parts of a flower. We read a book about flowers and then watched a CUTE video I found on youtube by Dr.Jean called plant parts. Then, I gave the students yellow rectangles to cut into flower petals. Then we added a stem and leaves.
Next, we glued beans on for seeds in the middle. Then we labled the parts of the plant. 
Next year, I want to use a larger piece of paper so we can include the roots.
