Today, I am linking up with Doodle Bugs for another week of 5 for Friday.
This week has been all about fall. I shared this photo on Facebook and a lot of you have asked for the template. You can grab it FREE HERE. This is the second time we have done q-tip painting. The kids LOVED it. I LOVED that it was so simple and NOT messy. You can grab this template FREE HERE.
We also started playing our Fall Math games. My class played this game last year, but I added the leaf plate and the fabric leaf numbers. Both the plate and the fabric leaves came from Dollar Tree. I bought the counters at Target 2 years ago, but they also had them last yer. I haven’t looked yet this year. The ten frame comes from my Fall Math Centers.
Next week is Fire Safety Week. We made these adorable firetrucks last year and I today I prepped them. You get the FREE directions to make them HERE.
In New Mexico, Fall means Hot Air Balloons. Albuquerque hosts the largest Balloon Fiesta in the World. It starts tomorrow and lasts for 10 days. These were fairly simple to make. The kids glued tissue strips onto balloon diecuts. They will keep our room festive all year.
To kick off the Balloon Fiesta, they always have 2-3 hot air balloons launch from all of the different schools in the area. We got to school at 7 am this morning to see it, but, luckily, it is also pajama day. My sweet niece is in high school, but she went late today so she could come see the balloons with her cousins. She’s the BEST!
