We had a busy week full of pumpkins! It is fun to mix pumpkins is with the Turkeys and the Scarecrows. In October, we read Spookley the Square Pumpkin. This month, We read Spookley, A Family to Be Thankful For. In Eureka, we have been talking about shapes so this has been a great supplement to the curriculum.
This Pumpkin Shapes Unit got a recent update. If you previously purchased it, you get the update for FREE!
Clip cards make for a simple center, but did you know squeezing clothespins is a GREAT fine motor activity for students? Be sure to check out my Pumpkin Shapes Unit to find more activities.
All the centers come with 4 different Exit Tickets. I have students complete the Exit Ticket at the end of centers on Fridays. I have 4 different ones so I know kids are not cheating. I love how Exit tickets let me know if a student has mastered a skill or is still working on. Plus, it is a great way to communicate student progress to parents.
All the centers come with printables. These are great for independent practice, homework, sub tubs, or morning work. I love hands on centers in Kindergarten. I think they are essential, but I also think ti is important for students to get used to paper pencil.
