This year I have really enjoyed teaching math. I think it is because I have a better understanding of common core. I created a fun math unit with a ladybug theme.

I made five and ten frames for this game. There are so many games you can play with five and ten frames.
- For your beginning step students, they can just match the three to the three- K.CC.4
- For proficient students, you can have them match a sum of 5 and sum of 10 – K.OA.4, K.OA.5.
To make it easier, have all the cards up, for an additional challenge, have the cards down. I have also included number cards so students can match the number to the frame. Or they can just pull one card (number or frame) and tell how many more make ten.
This packet includes two recording sheets for making ten and a build and write worksheet.
