I do crafts in my Kindergarten classroom every Wednesday. It happens to be the same time that our OT comes to our classroom to support some of my students. While I do the occasional “Just because” craft, I try to tie my crafts into what we are working on in class. We have been working hard on decomposing 5 and 10.
Whether you are working on decomposing 5 or decomposing 10, you are going to love my Easter Bunny Math Crafts. They can be differentiated based on which math standard you are working on. You can decompose 5 or you can decompose 10. In addition to the adorable craft, I included a Shake and Spill Math Game. Just add some yellow and red flip counters. Students can work on math fluency for sums of 10.. They will have so much fun, they won’t even realize they are working. I have included a game board and a recording sheet.
The game boards are differentiated for making 5 and making 10. They are also available in color and in black and white to meet your printing needs.
I love how adorable these crafts came out. They are a great way to decorate the hallway. Not only are students working math skills, but they are also working on listening and following directions, fine motor skills, and spatial awareness. You can buy my Easter Bunny Math Craft here.
